I’ve been trying to do this for most of my life
And I hate to offend but I don't fucking care
If you think I'm acting crazy or I'm wasting my time
Tell me, what use are your criticisms?
Reflections of your own poor choices
When you were young and brave.
Cause I’m always gonna heed these voices
When i hear them say.
“Just a couple more years of this shit!”

And you can finally be who you want to be
Not a product of american society,
But a person who lives and loves,
And does the one for the other.
And I’ve been trying to rationalize my actions of late
And i can’t help but notice how it sees my fate
Is tied up, like a hungry dog on a chain.
And I can taste the things I want,
But the more I fight and pull, the more I strangle myself.


I've been contemplating and of conceiving ways to
Get myself out of this hell that I can't seem to escape,
But every path that’s shown itself
Leads right back into nothing.
And as I look around and try to make a case
That what I'm doing is right, if I should be in the place
Another sign hangs in my face,
And it reads: "You're already too late!"

To ever be who you wanna be
Not a product of this self obsessed society
But a person who lives and loves,
And lends a hand to their brother. (whoa-o-o-o)
And I’ve been trying not to polarize or differentiate,
But that’s a lot to ask, when there is so much hate
That this world loves to shove in our fuckin’ face.
And we can see, the world we want,
and the more we fight and pull, the more we free ourselves.
