Modern Monarchs
03:28
|
|||
A thought popped into my head recently
As I wiped away another empty screen.
I wondered, “are we too designed to fail?”
Was it a question if my own mortality?
Or a realization that the things we see,
And are taught, set us up, by default,
To despise!
And it's never been a matter of differences.
This is a fear-based hate that we all know exists,
And it multiplies by their glazed-over eyes..
Tell me it's a sickness, if not our
sickening Human Nature.
Our desire to acquire always
Exceeds the inclination to recognize,
And empathize with, these lives
They so often cast aside.
And though it seemed a bit
unpleasant at the time,
I think it's still important, just to emphasize,
Our tragically accurate, yet coincidental
Correlation of ideas.
O! What a life we live while those we fear
run parallel to your own.
Tell me it's a sickness, if not our
sickening Human Nature.
Our desire to acquire always
Exceeds the inclination to recognize,
And empathize with, these lives
They so often cast aside from their thrones.

Punch A Nazi In The Face
04:05
|
|||
Don't talk to me about poise or grace
towards those who preach divides by race.
It's spreading at a frightening pace.
So punch a Nazi in the face.
When they speak of ethnic cleansing
There's no time to spell it out.
No room left for education.
Swing your fist into their mouth.
You feel free to use your speech,
And I'll feel free to use my hands
To humiliate and facilitate
The shaming of your brand.
If you presume to make a case
For calm discussion you’re off base.
Don't be concerned with time or place.
Punch a Nazi bigot in his self-righteous face.
When they say ethnocentricity
Recall the genocide.
Justified by this belief
Within your grandmother's lifetime.
You feel free to speak up
And I'll feel free to knock you down.
You're not a thinker or a solver
You're a racist fucking clown.
Dear Richard Spencer, and your think-tank,
You’re septic, vile, foul, rank!
But please feel free to stick around.
Will gladly pound your faces back into the ground.
Punch a Nazi in the fuckin' face!

Professional brainwashing and
Messianic prophecies.
Will pave a righteous path
To clear and distinct fallacy.
No time to compromise.
No time to realize.
Step out of the light
Into the dead of night.
I once could see,
(Welcome to the people's Temple)
But now I'm blind.
(Here we'll see Heaven's Gate.)
Revelation co-signed.
(Open the gates to Jonestown.)
Methodical mind-warping
And mad men's ideologies
Carve out a broken road
To a life controlled by fantasy.
No time to look away.
No choice but to stay
hidden, and protected
From the light of day.
I once could see,
(Welcome to the people's Temple)
But now I'm blind.
(Here we'll see Heaven's Gate.)
Revelation co-signed.
(Open the gates to Jonestown.)
I once was blind but now I see
Your prophetic conceit.

Kill What You Hate
02:39
|
|||
We bear our whet sickles
cutting at the stocks of
fields of hungry, beaten, ugly.
Sexism, righteous kills.
Unfounded power of will.
What better way to defend
what you don't understand?
The sacred life you take tonight
will not remain consigned to oblivion.
The paths you walk assuredly
to hinder others rights.
How do you justify
killing In the name of Christ?

Upon Deaf Ears
04:08
|
|||
Rise up for your last chance
to hold your ground,
to stay your stance.
If you’re on a path that seems unclear
Destroy your doubts,
Confront your fears.
Break your bonds you still have time
to redefine all of your
prospects and decide
To redesign
The way you always wanted to be.
Before you stood in line for your defeat.
Soon the world will start to hear
When words don't fall Upon Deaf Ears.
Why stand behind your iron gate
And wallow in your cold dank crate?
The hour approaches, time won't wait
Change yourself or reap your fate.

Sam Hall
04:44
|
|||
Oh me name it is Sam Hall,
chimney sweep, chimney sweep.
Oh me name it is Sam Hall, chimney sweep.
Oh me name it is Sam Hall, and I
hate youz one and all, and my
neck must pay for all, here I die.
Oh they treat you like a slave,
that's no lie, that's no lie.
Oh they treat you like a slave, that's no lie.
Oh they treat you like a slave,
from the cradle to the grave.
But the rich must help the poor, so must I.
I have three fine sons the feed
That's no joke, that's no joke
And a wife torn down from need
That's no joke.
But the boss he said to me,
“Get your brats out on the street!”
For they cost too much to feed,
That's no lie, that no lie!
My wife died from misery! That's no lie.
Oh I struck the bastard down,
I don't deny, don't deny.
Raised the black flag up on high, for anarchy.
Oh I struck the bastard down.
Down with boss and church and crown!
But they hunted me to the ground, like a dog.
Oh they took me to Cootehill,
in a cart, in a cart.
Oh they took me to Cootehill in a cart.
And the priest he said to me,
“repent or face eternity,”
“Keep your rich man's god from me.”
So said I, so said I.
“He never gave a damn for me” So said I.
Up the ladder I did grope,
that's no joke, that's no joke.
And me sons looked on with tears in their eyes.
Up the ladder I did grope,
and the hangman pulled the rope.
And the last words I spoke,
tumbling down, tumbling down.
“Liberty for all mankind!” Tumbling down.
Oh me name it is Sam Hall,
chimney sweep, chimney sweep.
Oh me name it is Sam Hall, chimney sweep.
Oh me name it is Sam Hall,
and I hate youz one and all,
and my neck must pay for all, here I die.

Don't Panic!
00:28
|
|||
9. |
||||
A blinding beam of light penetrates my room.
I'm paralyzed. I breathe in the fumes.
I'm torn out of bed. My ears start to ring.
My voice is made mute. My eyes see nothing. Suddenly I realize I have been misled.
The smell of burning flesh floods my head.
A grim revelation, I'm as good as dead.
This is more than abduction,
This is total Destruction.
Founded on the belief
That a lack of intelligence
Deems one sufficient
For another's consumption.
But what should I expect when I willfully neglect My urges to consume what I always presumed
To be lesser beings. Puppets with no strings. What are lesser beings? What is lesser being?
When I open my eyes a horror I can't describe consumes me without remorse.
I'm left without recourse. Consumed.
Abduct, Destroy, Consume, Enjoy.

Under a pale light, in a dimly lit room,
sits a man with a gun in his hand
waiting for a moment.
That split-second. The perfect time to pull the trigger to cue their acute remorse.
Coughing and spitting up blood
a body falls out of the light
And collapses heavily onto the floor
as solemn words are spoken,
have we increased peace?
Or simply taken another life?
We are not alone.
They're always smiling in your face.
Change your fucking tone.
Don't try to hide cause they'll find you out.
They'll come inside and creep around,
you don't even have to know they're there.
We are not alone.
Waiting behind closed doors,
you know they're coming for you.
They know right where you stand.
But we're tired of hearing about violence
You bring upon this nation with your
Own two blood stained hands.
Changing the pace,
raising and lowering the threat level
to keep the populace controlled through fear.
Though it may be misplaced,
Quite accurately describes the circumstances
of modern poor american life, my dear.
We are not alone.
They're always spitting in your face.
Change your fucking tone.
Do not rebel, do not resist.
I must persist, as I clench my fists,
Why does it always come to this?
Leave us alone.

Farther Than It May Seem
03:14
|
|||
I’ve been trying to do this for most of my life
And I hate to offend but I don't fucking care
If you think I'm acting crazy or I'm wasting my time
Tell me, what use are your criticisms?
Reflections of your own poor choices
When you were young and brave.
Cause I’m always gonna heed these voices
When i hear them say.
“Just a couple more years of this shit!”
And you can finally be who you want to be
Not a product of american society,
But a person who lives and loves,
And does the one for the other.
And I’ve been trying to rationalize my actions of late
And i can’t help but notice how it sees my fate
Is tied up, like a hungry dog on a chain.
And I can taste the things I want,
But the more I fight and pull, the more I strangle myself.
I've been contemplating and of conceiving ways to
Get myself out of this hell that I can't seem to escape,
But every path that’s shown itself
Leads right back into nothing.
And as I look around and try to make a case
That what I'm doing is right, if I should be in the place
Another sign hangs in my face,
And it reads: "You're already too late!"
To ever be who you wanna be
Not a product of this self obsessed society
But a person who lives and loves,
And lends a hand to their brother. (whoa-o-o-o)
And I’ve been trying not to polarize or differentiate,
But that’s a lot to ask, when there is so much hate
That this world loves to shove in our fuckin’ face.
And we can see, the world we want,
and the more we fight and pull, the more we free ourselves.

Red Sky
03:16
|
|||
There's gonna be a red sky in the morning,
So I'm setting sail tonight.
Like a ship on the horizon,
I will soon be out of sight.
Can't believe it had to end this way
I never wanted this to be.
But I can't go on living this way,
So I've got to set me free,
I'm going to set me free.
It's gonna be a red, red sky.
No there ain't no doubt about it
It's gonna be a red, red sky.
And I can hear the shouting.
It's gonna be a red, red sky.
Should've come a long time ago.
But I'll be long gone, traveling down the road
Before she even knows
It's gonna be a red, red sky.
There's gonna be a red sky in the morning,
So I'm headed for the sun.
Hate to leave without a warning,
But I fear what may come.
Hate to be the one to bring you pain
You can put the blame on me
But we both know it would never change,
so I’ve got to set you free.
I'm going to set you free.
It's gonna be a red, red sky.
No there ain't no doubt about it
It's gonna be a red, red sky.
And I can hear the shouting.
It's gonna be a red, red sky.
Should've come a long time ago.
But I'll be long gone, traveling down the road
Before she even knows
Before she even knows
It's gonna be a red, red sky.

Nothing Gold Can Stay
04:30
|
|||
Dark night, sitting unassuming
Unaware of her mistake.
Her plight, love and adoration
For the source of abject hate.
Sharp knife, thrust into her heart
Turned, twisted, wrenched, removed, reclaimed.
God, why kill the innocent
And let the guilty run away.
My greatest friend,
Why did your life so quickly have to end?
No final words,
A kiss to say I love you is all we had.
The doors have closed.
A single bullet took your life away
On that day..
Snakebite, poisoned by the one
She hid from all reproach and blame.
Her life, folding out before her,
Crumpled up and thrown away.
Denied, robbed of every hope
Escorted to her dying day.
God, why kill the innocent
And let the guilty run away.
My only friend, what you meant to me
I could not comprehend.
No Act of God, could lift you up
Or bring you back again.
Our bond won't be broken.
A single bullet took your life away,
On that day.
I'll never forget you,
But I won't let you die in vain.
So I say, put your guns away.
Our bond won't be severed.
